A precise assessment of sterilization processes is very essential in the pharmaceutical and biological industry, because a wrong treatment could result in the spoilage of a product due to microorganism development. Bacillus Stearothermophilus has been established as an industrial bacterium in the production of biological sterilization indicators. The production of biological indicators involving bacterial spore production which is dormant and are extremely resistant to heat stresses. Bacillus Stearothermophilus ATCC 7953 spores are used to monitor the efficacy of steam heat and hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes. In this study, efficacy of replacing nanomaterial as carrier instead of regular paper strip was investigated. For this purpose, the effect of nanomaterial on thermal resistance parameters and spore absorption was assessed and compared with common paper strips of this product.
