Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome that includes condition like increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, and excess body fat and excess cholesterol occurs together by increasing your risk of heart disease, strokes and diabetes.

Metabolic syndrome refers to a cluster of conditions that occur together, including abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and abnormal cholesterol or triglyceride levels. These conditions increase the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and other health problems.

Prevention of metabolic syndrome involves maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, and a balanced diet that is low in saturated and trans fats and high in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Managing stress and avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol consumption are also important for preventing metabolic syndrome.
