Surgery for Cervical Spine Injury Associated with Vertebral Body Fracture

Cervical vertebral body fracture is the result of cervical flexion with axial loading or simple axial loading. Although a minor fracture is often treated with a cervical collar or brace, a more severe or complex fracture may require surgical corrective reduction and/ or spinal fixation. We present our novel for surgical treatment of cervical spine injury associated with vertebral body fracture. We included 16 consecutive patients who underwent surgery because of cervical spine injury associated with vertebral body fracture.
