Is Weight Loss Superior to CSF Diversion in the Treatment of Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension?

Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), also know as pseudotumour cerebri is a condition characterized by an abnormal increase in intracranial pressure (ICP) in the absence of a tumour or other diseases. The basis of management in patients with IIH is aimed at controlling the symptoms of raised ICP, notably headache, visual abnormality, and papilloedema.
